Whenever one travels to Greece, the thing you hear the most is “the clubbing and night life is so much better over there!”.
This couldn’t be truer! Unfortunately Sydney’s night life doesn’t have a bunch of glittering reviews.
‘A night on the town’ is certainly not one to rival an all nighter in a Greek club.
However one event has brought a European superclub experience to Sydney, literally.
They are called Olympus, and their next event ‘Olympus X’ sold out in just 2 hours!

Olympus hasn’t just taken Australia’s Greek scene by storm – it is making waves and setting trends throughout the entire nightlife industry.

The Lifestyle Times spoke exclusively to one of the event’s founders (who wish to remain anonymous).
When asked what the inspiration behind OLYMPUS was, he said:
“Our gratitude for the trust the community continues to place in us can only properly be expressed by continuing to provide world class parties that they can’t experience anywhere else“.

He also added that;
“Selling out in 2 hours feels surreal, but was made possible through our hardworking and talented team. Our plans for the future are to continue to throw the craziest Greek parties Australia has ever seen and push the boundaries of what can be achieved“.

What began as a popular Greek nightclub event in Sydney’s Kings Cross in early 2018 has evolved into a spectacular Superclub experience that plays host to world class production and thousands of patrons.
The hype is incredible – the upcoming ‘Olympus’ at Sydney’s most prestigious venue, the Ivy Pool Club, sold out within 2 hours of its launch.

Olympus is no ordinary Greek event. The Olympus experience is a spectacle, filled with pyrotechnics, sparklers, dancers, LED robot dancers, live entertainers, laser shows, snakes and a plethora of twists and turns.
Before Olympus, no other nightclub event in Sydney was introducing these extreme elements into their parties – let alone a Greek event.

What can’t be understated is the manner in which Olympus reinvents itself – no two Olympus events are ever the same. As their infamous slogan suggests, partygoers should always;
‘Expect the Unexpected’.
Prior to Olympus, there had been a long hiatus of Greek club events in Sydney tailored for audiences aged 18-30. In this period of time, an explicitly ethnic and multicultural nightclub event securing an exclusive partnership with Merivale was a completely foreign and impossible idea.

Yet the concept was made possible.
This was achieved through years of developing a respected brand and cultivating a clean, well behaved passionate cult-like youth following.
Whilst the nightlife industry continues to find its feet in this challenging, post pandemic period for the hospitality industry, Olympus has thrived.
